At the “Museumsklänge” matinee on March 23, 2025 Ms. Sarvenaz Ayooghi, curator at the SLM, will present the painting “Bassoon Player” from the Dutch school of painting. The work from 1645 is an important piece in the collection of the Suermondt-Ludwig Museum. Many printed scores and program booklets are adorned with his portrait.
Konrad Werner is a master of the bassoon. The long-standing member of the Aachen Municipal Symphony Orchestra will perform a variety of examples from the musical literature of the wind instrument. His colleague Stéphane Egeling will not only support him musically with the oboe. In a witty exchange, the two will also discuss one of the most striking title melodies of a prominent television program. Be curious!
Organized by the Museumsverein Aachen, admission to this event at the Suermondt-Ludwig-Museum is free. Donations are welcome.
Visitors to “Museumsklänge” will receive free admission to the S-L-M on this day.
