From Saturday, September 23 to Saturday, September 30, we show the exhibition "Heiter bis Wolkig" with works by Joan Stephan!
Born in 1958 in Heiligenstedten / Schleswig-Holstein, the artist finds her motifs by intensive observation of people and nature and paints snapshots in acrylic. The trained sculptor found acrylic painting to be a quick medium to realise her ideas. Her paintings are sketchy snapshots in which she captures unusual encounters and situations: "Observations on holiday are often the occasion to develop new motifs. There I can watch in peace what is happening around me, for example on the beach."
The exhibition will open with a hybrid vernissage on Friday, 22 September 2023 at 7pm on site at Galerie Am Elisengarten in the presence of the artist and via virtual tour here on our website.
