Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at 7:00 p.m.
The event takes place within the framework of the special program Aufgeschlagen! of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia as a measure for the preservation of the cultural infrastructure and the further development of the North Rhine-Westphalian cultural scene in connection with the management of the Corona crisis.
Around one hundred years ago, immediately after the First World War, Surrealism emerged as an avant-garde movement of modern literature and art in France.
With his first novel, "Ein Paar aus vier Menschenhälften", Rimbaud author Frank Schablewski continues the surrealist tradition.
In this event Bernhard Albers will not only introduce the author Frank Schablewski's novel, but will also let other German-speaking authors of surrealism have their say and bring surrealism in literature to light, in order to bring the audience closer to a literature, a rebellious poetic position, which does not only appeal to young people.
